14th Annual Ace Awards

Brand Launch Winner of the Year Rachel Roy looks amazing in her chic black and white striped peplum ensemble.

She completed her look with her hair pulled back and a fabulous jeweled bracelet and rings. I do wished she wore at least some dropped earrings.

Olivia Palermo is always giving me funky glamour. She looks amazing in this navy printed Giambattista Valli feathered ensemble.

I am dying over her stunning statement necklace and electric blue peep-toe heels. She knows how to put a whole look together from head to toe!

I was very surprise to see Christina Ricci in this cute J-Crew dress. I like it but it's just a little too boring her especially since she won the Style Revolution Award because it's not anything fashion forward about this dress.

Why didn't she rock that whimsical Marchesa dress she wore to 26th Annual Artios Awards?

Perrey Reeves looks wonderful in her black and gold embroidered Monique Lhuiller dress.

WHY YANKEE FANS ARE DECENT PEOPLE

Douchbag says what? That’s my ridiculous comeback to a ridiculous statement from Rangers owner Chuck Greenberg, suggesting that all Yankee fans were terrible people. My comeback is childdish but also necessary. The New York Yankees are a "love or hate" team. You can't be in between, so for Chuck Greenberg to go on a radio show and say that all Yankee fans are nasty creatures, is not a surprise, but is he wrong? Of course.

Greenberg went on the "Ben and Skin Show" on ESPN Radio and said the following:

“I think our fans have been great. I think particularly in Game 3 of the World Series they just blew away anything I’ve seen in any venue during the postseason. I thought Yankee fans, frankly, were awful. They were either violent or apathetic, neither of which is good. So I thought Yankee fans were by far the worst of any I’ve seen in the postseason. I thought they were an embarrassment.”

Seriously? I know your Rangers just lost the World Series and you're pissed, but don't take it out on the hundred of thousands of Yankee fans who actually are civil to other team's fans. And what about the other ballparks that Yankee fans visit? I personally have been the Fenway Park, 6 times in my lifetime, for example. I usually wear a Yankee hat and got my lumps over a Yankee-Sox Rivalry weekend every time I sit in a seat there. Guess what? I expect to be screamed at, pick on and publically shamed, especially because I wasn't in the Bronx. What's my point? Fans are fans and they do it everywhere, even Arlington.

Rangers fans who come to Yankee Stadium need to expect to get razzed alittle. But not all Yankee fans are creeps. There are also thousands of respectful Yankee fans, myself included, who don't swear, don't spit and don't razz other fans. Many of us go the the Bronx to watch the Yankees with our families. Some of us Chuck, treat humans like humans. What you did in your statement, suggest we're all savages. What Chuck Greenberg said was a mistake and you probably made it worse for you're fans in the future. Now, it's true, Chuckie Poo has apologized for it, kind of, but guess what, I'm not so fast to accept your apology Chuck.

You've put yet another negative label on Yankee fans. Not fair bro. Here is his "kind of" apology:

“Earlier today, in the course of praising the extraordinary support and enthusiasm of Texas Rangers fans, I unfairly and inaccurately disparaged fans of the New York Yankees. Those remarks were inappropriate. Yankees fans are among the most passionate and supportive in all of baseball. I have spoken directly to Hal Steinbrenner and Randy Levine to apologize for my intemperate comments. I would like to express again how proud we are of our fans and how remarkably they have supported the Rangers throughout lean times and now during this magical season.”

Yankee fans ARE passionate. But I have news for you Chuck, ALL fans are passionate about whatever team they love. That's what makes a good fan base. Oh and by the way, I was at Game 3 of the ALCS this year, Yankees vs. Rangers in the Bronx. The Rangers fans in our section were so disrespectul, SO obnoxious, swearing and being so unruly that finally, when the Yankees started getting killed in that game, it was then, and ONLY THEN did the Yankees fans finally lose control and yell back. They were patient until they couldn't take the obsenities from Rangers fans any more. And guess what, there were kids in the stands. Read WHY WE'RE DOWN, NOT OUT from October 18th to see what I posted. I actually took video of the pathetic Rangers fans. It goes both ways Chuck. Shame on you.

Ok...I'm done ranting, I'm going to do what Mike Axisa said on the River Ave Blues blog today. He suggested we take the high road and move on. I'll take that advice. But Chuck, you're on notice.

Essence Magazine's Stunning December 2010 Cover!

Thandie Newton, Kimberly Elise, Phylicia Rashad, Anika Noni Rose, Kerry Washington, Loretta Devine, Janet Jackson and Tessa Thompson.

OMG! The Essence Magazine's December 2010 cover is absolutely stunning! The cast of "For Colored Girls" are beyond gorgeous. They all are Queens.

My favorite is Thandie Newton in her orange embellished dress, Phylicia Rashad nude rossette dress and Janet Jackson sexy red one-shouldered dress. This has to be the best cover of all times. I collect magazines and I am definitely saving this incredible cover.

Richard Lawson, Hill Harper, Omari Hardwick, Khalil Kain, Michael Ealy, and Tyler Perry

On the flip side the male cast all look dapper as ever in their tuxedos. My future baby daddy Micheal Ealy is scrumptious as always.

I just can't wait to see this movie on November 5th!

America's 26th Annual Artios Awards

Marchesa Fall 2010

Christina Ricci looks absolutely adorable in this black tuxedo white tulle Marchesa fantasy creation. I am looooooving this look to death!

The actress always push the envelope and she looks beyond amazing. She completed her look with sleek hair and red lips.

My only complaint is her black tights. Why oh why with such a delicate dress? I prefer bare legs like the model is rocking but she still look fantastic! Another piece to add to my BDD list.

WWD CEO Summit And Keynote Dinner

Salma Hayek and hubby Francois-Henri Pinault were in attendance. Salma looks amazing in her black and gold encrusted shoulders Alexander McQueen ensemble.

Hayek tends to be a little over sexy at times so I adore that she wore a pair of chic trousers to tone down the plunged neck jacket.

I would rock this funky sleek pants suit everyday of the week!

Spring 2011 Runway: Joan Smalls

If you were at the spring 2011 shows or viewing it on Style.com(If it takes the rest of my life, I will sit by Anna Wintour one day by the grace of God!) , you witness the fabulous Joan Smalls gracing the runway. The stunning Puerto Rican native is the "It" model of the season.

First of all, her gorgeous skin tone is amazing, piercing eyes, full lips and legs for days are every woman's dream.

She has walked in over 40 shows for the spring 2010 runway including in Louis Vuitton, Emilio Pucci, Christian Dior and Gucci.

With an industry that constantly don't embrace models of color, it's refreshing to see a Puerto Rican ruling the catwalk!

WHY SWISHER SHOULD BE BACK

This is my piece giving my thoughts of why Nick Swisher should still be part of the New York Yankees in 2011. I have a different opinion than my BYB Contributor "Donnie Baseball". He wrote WHY HE’S WERTH EVERY PENNY on Friday.

Nick Swisher should stay a New York Yankee. Man, I love Jayson Werth. He's a bad ass, he's clutch and he's is exactly what the New York Yankees need. But Swish is a different ballplayer and the reason is because he's very special. Look, Nick's not a great outfielder but gets the job done. His power is great and I love that he's a switch hitter. People forget this but back when he was with the Oakland A's, He and Eric Chavez we're the dudes. They were unstoppable, minus, Chavez injury. Then, when Nick went to Chicago in a mid-season trade, he was horrible for the White Sox. That, for some reason gave the dude a black eye in baseball. He was washed up, he lost a step... I heard it all day long. It was kind of unfair. When Cash needed an outfielder in the off season, he jumped at signing Swish. Cash saw something and for the past 2 years it paid off. Swish can be clutch. And look, no one's perfect, he may not be the best rightfielder but he dies trying. Swisher's fun, he brings the clubhouse to life. Hell, there is even a huge force behind a campaign called We want Nick Swisher to host SNL . If you haven't voted yet please do. Any way, the bottom line is Swisher should stay in pinstripes. Why wouldn't he? For team morale, he's perfect. Financially, it's genius. There isn't any reason he shouldn't, plus, Why in the world would the Yankees dump $50 million or more on another outfielder when they are in hunt for big bad Cliff Lee. Plus, they want a lefty relief pitcher, and who knows what else. They need that money and holding on to Swisher is cheap and a smarter move. Werth, while I love the guy, ain't worth it. Do your thing Cash, do your thing.
