The Trumpet Awards celebrated 16 years of honoring African-Americans in Arts, Sciences, and Politics. Xernona Clayton is the creative force behind the award ceremony. It kind of put you in the mind of an old folks "Oscar" award show. Granted it was the elite and A-Listers of the African -American community but besides a few A-List celebrities, it was absolutely D-List celebrities. Millie Jackson actually pull herself from the bar stool to attend a function. Who is that boy- toy with Angie Stone? I guess she has to pay poor DeAngelo back from breaking her heart.
