Best Dressed Diva Of The Week: Tasha Smith

I know you guys just knew I was going to pick Kerry Washington in that amazing white Marchesa dress. Surprise, Surprise!

Some days everything just comes together! Actress Tasha Smith looks stunning as ever in this silver metallic one-shouldered Tadashi Shoji dress.

She was a Grecian Goddess from head to toe!

Worst Dressed Diva Of The Week: Diane Kruger

Something went terribly wrong with this ivory rise and fall shapeless Narciso Rodriguez dress on Diane Kruger. It was like watching a train wreck and you couldn't do anything about it!

It is a happy ending to this story because Diane did rebound in a gorgeous champagne J. Mendel and green polka-dot Jason Wu dress this week.

Kumar in Trouble

When Kal Pen (aka Kumar of the great movie, Harold & Kumar go to White Castle) left the beautiful people of Hollywood to spend time with the bottom-feeding parasites in DC, he received some praise for serving his country or something. But now a FOIA request has revealed that he was mixed up in the recent NEA scandal which forced its Communications Director into resignation. From Washington Examiner (h/t Jammie):
Former actor and present White House associate director of public engagement Kalpen Modi was directly involved in planning the controversial conference call hosted by a National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) flack to encourage tax-supported artists to create propaganda for President Obama, according to emails obtained by Judicial Watch via a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.
Uhoh, making trouble for Hollywood's messiah, that'll probably get you blacklisted. Which is unfortunate, because I thought Kal Pen was a great actor. Well, he'll always have the ability to write crummy HuffPo articles alongside all the other has-been celebrities.

Calvin Klein

Imagine my surprise when I saw Lyndsey Scott walking the Calvin Klein Fall 2009 runway show. She is the first black model to score an exclusive with the designer. Calvin Klein, Prada and many other designers hardly ever uses African-American models. I take it back, at least Jourdan Dunn was the first African-American model in TEN YEARS to walk Miuccia Prada show which I think it's ridiculous and that's why I don't wear or care for Prada.

The eighteen year old(they all claim to be only eighteen) New Jersey model was discovered by Click Models.com. All of a sudden, Scott was everywhere for the Spring 2010 shows such as Tracy Reese, Gucci, Giambattista Valli and many others.

She is feature in DKNY, Baby Phat campaigns and Elle and Italian editorials.

I adore her girl next door chic look. Thank you Lyndsey for opening more doors for us!

Our Longstanding Corrupt Practices

USA Today had a well-researched article about all the political appointees in the Obama administration who just happened to have fundraised over $100,000 for the campaign. But, for some reason, the story generated less interest in the blogosphere than the 25th anniversary of Ice Pirates. I don't know if it's because the article was in the Mikky-D's press, or because the practice is so common amongst both parties that none of the partisan operatives dare criticize, or because there was other corruption allegations that stole the limelight. But it seems like we just brush it aside as "business as usual" in Washington and wonder why the government is being run by incompetent boobs whose only purpose in life is to make speeches and false promises.

I doubt Nathan Lane feels threatened

This nudibranch apparently thinks it's the cutest thing on the block just because it's the neon equivalent of a drama kid. Prancing around the ocean like you have a spine doesn't mean you should pose jazz-hands style like you're in a college production of Fame, asshole.

Talk about cheesy. Was this the nudibranch's headshot for auditions? I've got news for you, Nudibranch, no one is looking for an overenthusiastic mollusk to take Broadway by storm. I hope you're good at pouring coffee, because I see a bright future for you in table-waiting.

Fabulous Events

15th Annual Time For Peace Film & Music Awards

Sessilee Lopez And Catherine Malandrino

I have to admit that I am not crazy about model Sessilee Lopez gothic hand dress. It's not flattering on her one bit.

Designer Catherine Malandrino looks great as always in her blue draped dress.

Miss Africa USA, Nyasha Zimucha looks like a fairy tale princess in this pretty pink chiffon dress.

I am not crazy about her hair because it ages her at least twenty years. Why can't we get our hair together? I think I am going to be like Kim from RHOA and start my own wig line because I can't take this anymore!

The International Women's Media Foundation

Diane Kruger has redeemed herself from that white Narciso Rodriguez monstrosity of a dress she wore earlier this week.

She continues to give me glamour and chic every single time. I simply adore this satin sculptural strapless J. Mendel dress paired with black criss-cross heels and an interesting printed Lanvin clutch bag. the only thing I would change is her heels to nude instead of black .

Speaking of redemption! Angie Harmon is back on track from her atrocious ensemble last week. She looks fabulous in this buttery camel leather belted dress.

The invitation must had said "chic" for the attire because Rashida Jones also look sophisticated in her ivory satin Miu Miu dress paired with a black boyfriend's jacket. I am loooooving her black strappy Louboutins!

Actress Lynn Collins is beyond effortless chic(forgive me for using this word excessive) in this gray draped belted jumper and black sleek jacket.

Actress Lily Collins looks like a sexy secretary in this lovely teal sheer pouf sleeves blouse paired with with a divine high waist skirt and peep-toe heels. What is going on with her hair though?
