Porn Industry Needs a Money Shot From Congress

Clever Plots Involving Double-Sausage Pizzas Need Federal Assistance

Porn moguls from the Valley are asking for $5 Billion bucks for their industry since they can't compete with free amateur action on sites like YouPorn. Forbes with the details:
Reeling from the success of the free Internet porn business, the adult entertainment industry should get a $5 billion piece of the government's $700 billion bailout fund, says Joe Francis, chief executive officer of the production company that produces the popular "Girls Gone Wild" video series.

He's sending letters to California congressman Henry Waxman (his local representative), Massachusetts' Barney Frank (the head of the House of Representatives' Financial Services Committee) and the U.S. Treasury Department asking for assistance. His argument: the last thing California needs is another economic crisis to hit when it is trying to climb out of the real estate crash. The porn industry calls the San Fernando Valley its home.
The pornography industry has survived unhinged attacks from feministas and religious types who can't mind their own business claiming it would result in more sexual assault against women. Actually, rape has been declining since the early 90s in America, and that was long before porn became ever more ubiquitous. The only reason the porn industry is doing this is a nutty publicity stunt, which Larry Flynt has been prone to do in the past. I'm anti-bailout; but, I'd rather the porn industry get a bailout than the banks. At least San Fernando Jones and the Temple of Poon is providing a valuable public service and never tried to foist a shady sub-prime loan on me.
