Michigan Avenue Celebrates " Chicago's Surreal Housewives"

Trevian Kutti, Lynn McMahan, Julie Lampert and Kristina McGrath

Michigan Avenue Magazine had a wonderful Gala celebrating influential women in Chicago at the Four Seasons Grand Ballroom.

My girl Trevian Kutti is working the hell out of her stunning gold mesh sequined haltered dress. She and her husband B.J. Kutti own a fabulous boutique called Gbani in Chicago.

The boutique caters to upscale fashionistas with amazing labels like Roberto Cavalli, Patrizia Pepe and Giuseppe Zanotti. They carry women clothing and shoes and men shoes and they recently added unique housewares pieces.

Some Sheize Pr0n to Kick Off the Weekend

A German co-worker shared this video with me during a discussion focused on Kitsch 90s music. If you're looking for creepy euro-industrial dancing set to schlocky bass beats, you've come to the right place!

Fabulous Events

"Julie & Julia" New York Premiere

Amy Adams looks stunning in this floral off-the-shoulders embellished Carolina Herrera dress paired with a fabulous gold metallic clutch. Amy always get it right and this time it was no exception!

Why is Jaslene Gonzalez there? Is she in the movie? I love the concept of this dress but it looks like a curtain on the bottom half, just a little too much going on.

"Broken Embraces" London Premiere

I just hated the eighties and I know it's totally in for you youngees but I just can't get on board.

Everything about Penelope Cruz's red Bottega Veneta ensemble makes me cringe! She looks like Blanche from the "Golden Girls". It brings back horrible fashion memories of my life that I tried to blocked out for the last two decades!

I am loooooving her woven wedges though. They are on Firrreee!

Premiere of "Taking Woodstock"

Ciare Danes looks great in this silk cobalt tied Sonia Rykiel dress

Fabulous Events

TXT L8TER Denim Campaign Launch Party

Ciara
looks absolutely adorable in this red satin bow bodice Marchesa jumpsuit. Her hair and make-up is flawless!

Gabrielle Union looks casual chic in her miltary jacket paired with jeans but I am not crazy about her hair at all. It looks like she got it from the corner dollar store!

The Children Of The City "Champions of Hope" Benefit Gala

Gwyneth Paltrow has been missing in action. She looks hot in this black and metallic futuristic Preen cut-out dress paired with black Giuseppe Zanotti booties. I wish her hair was straight and sleek to complete this edgy look.

"Give and Get" Benefiting Dress For Success

Elise Neal looks amazing in this fuchsia strapless Bebe dress. I looooove the draped pocket on the side and her electric blue clutch bag....pure perfection!

Niecy Nash finally supported her "girls" for once. She looks delightful in this ivory satin draped haltered dress.

Flat Earth Society

BBC has a little of background on the Islamic fanatics that have been wreaking havoc in Nigeria. From the BBC:
"Like rain. We believe it is a creation of God rather than an evaporation caused by the sun that condenses and becomes rain. "Like saying the world is a sphere. If it runs contrary to the teachings of Allah, we reject it. We also reject the theory of Darwinism." Mr Yusuf himself is something of an enigma. He is believed to be in his mid-thirties, and analysts say he is extremely wealthy and highly educated. "He is graduate educated and very proficient in English," says Nigerian academic Hussain Zakaria. "He lives lavishly - people say he drives a Mercedes Benz. And he is very well-educated in a Western context."
Sounds like a swell guy. Where can I sign up?

I can't believe this is a rabbit

This is an angora rabbit. Do you believe it? When I first saw this I thought, "Hold on, there, Internet. There's no way that's a rabbit. It's so furry and round." But it's totally a rabbit. WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS RABBIT?! You are sooooo crazy, Rabbit! Holy shit. Do you even know how much you look just like this cotton ball?

I literally had to look twice before I could tell them apart, but I know the difference is in the eyes. NICE TRY, RABBIT.

UPDATE: There's been a lot of confusion in the comment section as to which of these photos is the cotton ball and which one is the rabbit. Believe me, I know how difficult this can be. The key is to look at the eyes in the first picture, as you can see here. See? Definitely a rabbit.

Designer Of The Week: Luca Luca

Luca Orlandi and wife Supermodel Oluchi Onweagba

Celebrites In Luca Luca

Halle Berry

Venus Williams

Serena Williams

Whitney Port

Emmanulle Chriqui

Ladylike silhouettes is what Luca Luca is based on. Every woman wants to feel feminine and sexy and Luca Luca provides the necessary garments to achieve that goal.

Designer Luca Orlandi was born in Milan and worked in his family textile business. Following an apprentice at the Hero Group, a manufacturing company creating bridge lines for designers such as Oscar de la Renta and Bill Blass, Orlandi started Luca Luca in 1991.

He opened his first boutique on Madison Avenue in New York and shortly after in my fabulous city Chicago on the exclusive Oak street. I remembered walking into the store in the late nineties not paying any attention to the snobby employees just to view his wonderful collections.

The designer wed his long time companion Nigerian supermodel Oluchi Onweagba in 2005 and they have an adorable three year old son named Ugochukwu. Orlandi recently stepped down and now creative director Raul Melgoza is certainly keeping the Luca Luca sexy tradition alive!
